From Europe to West Coast and South...From Jazz to Dirty Blues and back.
After the first Europe tour of the year with Hiromi and Edmar Tyler went directly to California to meet up with Little Hurricane for 12 shows in 15 days throughout the west coast and deep south. It was a whirlwind from Santa Cruz, to San Diego to Austin to Atlanta and everywhere inbetween, and finally ending in Louisville, KY.
Back to Edmar and Hiromi for the rest of 2017
Flying directly to Boston for 4 shows in 2 nights at Scullers Jazz Club Typer quickly settled back into the routine of tour managing and providing FOH sound for the duo. They traveled from Boston to Aspen, Colorado to Stanford, CA. The Bing auditorium in Stanford was a gorgeous 360 degree concert hall with incredible acoustics. From there the trio started their run of the Canadian Jazz Festivals. Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. In Montreal they were met with a video crew from Japan, personnel from Yamaha New York, Yamaha Canada, photographers, and 10-time Grammy award winner recording engineer Michael Bishop. The concert was recorded for Concord (Hiromi's record label) and will be released in the near future as Hiromi featuring Edmar Casteñeda "Live in Montreal" - it was a great night.
Now we rest for a few days, then it's back to Europe for 4 weeks of festivals.
